COITAND organizes a conference on sustainable nutrition of agricultural soils in Jerez de la Frontera

• The session, organized in conjunction with the Andalusian Regional Government and aGROSlab, will be held on June 9 at IFAPA Rancho de la Merced, in Jerez de la Frontera, and will address regulatory requirements in fertilization, vulnerable areas, REGFER and the digital development of fertilization plans.

The Official College of Agricultural Technical Engineers of Western Andalusia (COITAND) , together with the Andalusian Regional Government and aGROSlab , is organizing the information day “Sustainable Nutrition of Agricultural Soils” , which will take place on June 9, 2026 in Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz) .

The meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at IFAPA Rancho de la Merced , located on the Cañada de la Loba road, CA-3102 km 3 , and will focus on the main regulatory and technical aspects related to the sustainable management of agricultural fertilization.

During the day, issues such as regulatory requirements in crop fertilization , Royal Decree 1051/2022 , action programs in vulnerable areas , technical guidelines for sustainable fertilization and the digital preparation of fertilization plans will be addressed.

The session is aimed especially at professionals in the agricultural sector, technical staff, advisors, members and pre-members of COITAND, as well as people interested in improving fertilization planning and moving towards a more sustainable management of agricultural soils.

Program of the day

The day will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a presentation by Eugenio Vallecillo Álvarez , vice president and delegate of COITAND in Cádiz.

At 11:35 a.m. , Mercedes de la Cruz Seguí , Head of the Agricultural Production Service of the General Directorate of Agricultural and Livestock Production, will give the presentation “Regulatory requirements in crop fertilization. RD 1051/2022 and Action Program in vulnerable areas” .

Later, at 12:15 pm , Javier González Paloma , from COITAND, will address the technical guidelines for sustainable fertilization .

At 13:00 hours , Jesús P. Gerique , from aGROSlab , will explain the digitized preparation of subscriber plans .

The day will continue at 13:45 with a round table discussion and will end at 14:00 .

Registration and capacity

The activity has limited capacity and places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis . Members and pre-members will have priority until places are filled, while non-members will be placed on a waiting list in order of registration.
